The principle of action of the tail gas fan is to use the impeller and guide vanes to convert the kinetic energy of the gas into pressure energy, thus increasing the pressure and flow rate of the gas. Tail gas fans are usually used in tail gas absorption towers to send acidic gases from the air inlet under the tower into the tower to chemically react with alkaline liquids and reduce acid emissions.

The fan is a machine that relies on the input of mechanical energy to increase the pressure of the gas and thus guide the flow of gas. Fan and turbine compressor working principle is basically the same, according to the air flow into the impeller after the flow direction is not the same, then there are different classifications, there are mainly three kinds of fans, namely, axial fan, centrifugal fan and inclined-flow (mixed flow) fan.
